Q - What is the event schedule?
A - When you register for the event, you will receive an electronic welcome kit that
includes an event schedule, transportation and hotel information and a very important pre-event questionnaire which will help you get
clear on your goals and help us deliver the information you need in order to maximize your results of participating. However, for
scheduling purposes, the event begins at 8:30 am on June 19th and ends at 6 pm on June
21st.
Q - Why an event? Can't I learn more from each of the speakers' books?
A - Well, Yes AND No. The fact is, for each speaker to share the information from all
their books would probably take a 3 day seminar dedicated to each. So, you may learn the maximum amount of INFORMATION from books.
However, at an event, in addition to the incredible ancillary benefits of networking and forming joint venture partnerships with
other attendees and getting the opportunity to have your individual questions answered by the speakers, there is also a very powerful
dynamic. Certain principles and strategies will resonate with you and you get clarity and focus that doesn't come sitting back in
your office.
I love books and I read them constantly (on average about 2 per week). But, if I want to
maximize APPLICATION and not just INFORMATION, then an event is often the way to go. It becomes a real catalyst for
growth!
Q - Will this be a "pitchfest" with everyone pushing for me to buy their products and
programs?
A - Absolutely NOT! First and foremost our
speakers will be delivering solid, real-world, tested and proven information, strategies and systems for drastically improving the
quality of your businesses and lives. And, I will be there each step of the way to make sure that you and I are recording the actions
we're going to take AND WHEN on the trademarked Event Action Planner that you will receive in your seminar materials. (It's my
goal to make it as easy as possible for you to DO SOMETHING with what you'll learn and not just let it be more information that you
don't act on. I've been there and done that myself FAR too many times.)
At the same time, I've absolutely begged the "faculty" of this event to put together products and programs that someone who wants
more help after the event can take advantage of. And, I will most definitely encourage you, when you attend, to invest in the program
or products that resonate with you most and that you feel would give you the greatest leverage to making positive changes in all
areas of your business.
For instance, I know that when I manage my time more effectively and shed more weight and become healthier looking and more
attractive, other areas of my business will fall into place and I'll get to yet another level. These are real key areas for
me. So, you can be sure I'm going to be listening REALLY CLOSELY when Dr. Kennedy tells us his system for getting rid of
bad habits and being able to finish up our work every day! And, if he has a program that I believe will help me accomplish the
transformation in these areas even quicker than on my own, you'd better believe I'll be first in line to invest in it.
It's just like health and fitness, I can buy a book, go to a seminar, join a gym - and using information and tools from each of
those, I could conceivably do it on my own. But, to see really quick and dramatic changes, I know I need a personal trainer
or coach ... for ongoing motivation and accountability.
So, bottom line. You WILL come away from this event armed with everything you need. AND,
you will even have an action plan to get there. But YOU MAY CHOOSE to take it a step further and invest in a program to
help you attain your goals even quicker. If so, it will be available to you. If not, that's cool too. Your a big boy or girl and
no one is going to be twisting your arm. Fair enough?
Q - I have a son or daughter that I'd like to have learn these strategies as well. Can I bring them along?
A- ABSOLUTELY! To a person, I know that ALL of "faculty" of Extreme Business Makeovers have a heart for kids. As a homeschooling
father of 6, I absolutely do! So, by all means, feel free to bring your child 11 years or
older to any or all of the sessions. Just please let us know so that we can make sure we have room for them and a nametag so
that they feel part of the event as well. They can meet my daughter Charity while they are there. (My oldest two have scheduling
conflicts and my younger 3 are too young - otherwise, there would be more Scotts in the audience participating with you and
me.)
NOTE: I really believe that including your children with you in this will arm them with an
incredible advantage early on by facilitating their learning in real world areas that schools just don't teach. We don't
adjust our teaching in the least bit or talk down to them - instead, they really raise their level of comprehension. I've seen it
happen again and again, you'd be surprised just how much they "catch" and absorb. And for them to see you,
firsthand, participating in an event like this is a perfect way of modeling the importance of being a life-long student.
Q - What if I can't afford it?
A - Hey, I totally understand financial difficulties and I would NEVER suggest doing
anything irresponsible - that would put your next month's rent/mortgage or food for your family in jeopardy. However, let's talk
straight for a moment. The fact is, unless you are reading this on a computer in your local library, you obviously have a computer
and internet connection. So, while you may have definite cashflow issues, you are far from destitute. So, it's really a matter of priorities and choosing to invest in assets (things that return dividends) versus
discretionary expenses (things that cost without returning ongoing dividends).
Many are in the position where they can go out to eat several times a month, have cable tv, splurge on little things here and
there every month AND STILL be able to invest the time and money to attend an event like this. Others may have to sacrifice a bit or
make some tough choices to prioritize differently in the short term in order to give themselves a greater range of options and
choices as a result. I know firsthand that's what I did when I continued to invest in books, audio programs and seminars when I was
having trouble making ends meet every month. Frankly, we ate a lot of eggs and rice and peanut butter (not together.. that would be
gross) ;-) Seriously, for me, it made ALL the difference in the world!
So, if you seriously have no way of re-prioritizing and changing your spending habits for a few months to enable you to do this, I
totally understand and would still encourage you to get one or more of the books from our "faculty" because this team is phenomenal.
But, I'd encourage you, if you have this little nudging in your heart that you feel THIS
could be a turnaround moment for you, don't let fear and low level comfort, keep you from empowerment and even greater comfort in the
near future.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In May, most will be receiving a check from Uncle Sam (actually,
from ourselves and our neighbors since WE all paid for it). You can choose to blow it on a depreciating asset (a toy) or vacation or
even some legitimate needs that are able to be delayed. OR, you can use it as a real investment by retiring debt, purchasing an
appreciating asset or investing in something that will give you return on your investment like this seminar will. I urge you to make
a life-improving choice by doing one of the latter!
